Becca Davis is a third year law student at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, graduating in May of 2018. After graduation, she will be joining Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP as a litigation associate. She is the 2017 Sidney B. Williams Intellectual Law Scholarship Recipient through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

At Georgetown, Becca is the 2017-2018 Managing Editor of the GEMALaw Review [Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance], and the Director of Copyright & Trademark for the Student Intellectual Property Law Association [SIPLA]. She is a member of the Barrister’s Council, Alternative Dispute Resolution Division and was the second place finalist in the 2017 Bellamy Negotiations Competition.

Her legal work experience includes clerking for the Writers Guild of America, West, the Department of Homeland Security’s Privacy Office, and HBO’s Business Affairs Department. She has also worked as Research Assistant to Professor Mary Bissell for multiple semesters, researching and analyzing ways to adjust federal programs to provide more benefits and protections to foster care youth.

As a first year law student, Becca attended Southwestern Law School, where she was invited to join Law Review, was a quarter-finalist in the Trial Advocacy Intramural Competition, and received the highest grade in the class for Property Law, Copyright Law, and Legal Analysis and Writing Skills.

Becca attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA for her undergraduate degree, where she received a B.A. in Communications with a specialization in Media & Film Studies.

Her skills range from creative to technical, and include design (Photoshop), social posting, monitoring, and contesting platforms (Secondstreet, Aptivada, Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Social News Desk, Facebook Insights, Google Analytics), video editing (Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer), basic computer skills (HTML coding, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, WordPress), and legal research programs (Lexis Nexis, Westlaw and Bloomberg).
